When possible, modules are assembled onshore in pieces and a crane vessel is used to lift them into place.  Under the heavy lift configuration including 300T pedestal mounted offshore crane (PMOC), SAFECOM 1 can be used to lift modules and containers  onto platforms.  It can lift parcels onto its own deck for repair and maintenance, and can assist in installation of sub-sea equipment in benign waters. In this picture, SAFECOM 1 is utilizing its 300T Huisman Offshore PMOC to lift a container onto a FPSO.
